Ivy Tech Community College is offering Lean Training. Our interactive, comprehensive, and practical workshop teaches fundamental lean concepts and tools for application in your work. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced lean practitioner, you will find this training relevant in starting or enriching your lean journey. **Lean Training is provided by the Ivy Tech quality training initiative. There is no cost for this training.
TRAINING OVERVIEW
Continuous improvement is vital to the success of many organizations. Whether in business, manufacturing or healthcare, today’s workforce and management need to be equipped with the knowledge and skills provided in lean thinking. The core idea is to maximize customer value and minimize waste. Lean means creating more value for customers with fewer resources and it applies in every business and every process. It is a way of effectively doing business for an entire organization. The course will teach the importance of defining a lean framework and understanding lean transformation.
COURSE DETAILS
Ivy Tech’s certified trainers will teach this course. A certification exam is administered at the end of the course, and those who pass this exam with a score of 80% or higher will earn an Ivy Tech Lean Certification. There is no cost for this training.
HOW TO ENROLL
Lean Training is held in partnership with the WestGate Academy Conferencing and Training Center and the Martin, Daviess and Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce offices. Training will be held on May 23 at the Conferencing and Training Center: County Road 1650 N, Odon 47562. Please report to the WestGate@Crane Authority Conference Room. Class will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will end at 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be on your own. Please visit our website for more information and to register.
